Bothell is centrally located to offer day trips to the mountains and the coast as well as easy access to Seattle's downtown and waterfront. Historic downtown Bothell offers parks, rivers and trails, restaurants, gift shops, fine clothing, florists, and galleries displaying local artwork. Blyth Park is Bothell's largest park at 19.5 acres with walking trails, play areas, and two picnic shelters. The Burke-Gilman/Sammamish Trail provides sports enthusiasts a 32 mile trail to walk, bike, or inline skate. The Park at Bothell Landing is the cornerstone of Bothell's park system and is the focal point for community events. This park is located along the Sammamish River and Trail, the park provides a rest point for bicyclists and walkers. The Wetlands Trail provides beautiful views of North Creek from a boardwalk. Various cultural events occur throughout the year, among these the La Fiesta Viva celebrates the Latino cultural heritage with live music and savory foods. Bothell's Farmers Market at Country Village Shops is a favorite tradition with cut flowers, local honey, seasonal fruits, vegetables, and many hand-crafted items.
